Terms of Service
Effective July 14, 2026
Welcome to Venue Wright. These terms are a plain-language agreement between you and Venue Wright ("we," "us") covering your use of venuewright.com and the Venue Wright application (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to them.
1. What the Service is
Venue Wright is event-operations software for venues: banquet event orders (BEOs), floor plans, inventory tracking, pull lists, staffing sheets, and related tools. It is a planning tool — you and your team remain responsible for the events you run and the decisions you make.
2. Your account
- You must provide accurate information and keep your password secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
- Accounts belong to people; organizations ("workspaces") can have multiple member accounts up to your plan's limit.
- You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to use the Service.
3. Plans, billing, and cancellation
- Paid plans are billed monthly through Stripe, our payment processor. We never see or store your card number.
- Plans are month-to-month with no long-term commitment. You can switch plans or cancel any time from Settings → Manage billing.
- When you cancel, your plan stays active until the end of the period you already paid for, then your account moves to a read-limited state. We don't delete your data when you cancel.
- Free trials require no card. When a trial ends, you keep your data but can't create new records until you choose a plan.
- Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or where we decide, in fairness, that a refund is warranted (for example, a billing error). Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice — never mid-billing-period.
4. Your data
- Your data is yours. Events, clients, venues, menus, floor plans — everything you enter belongs to you or your organization. We claim no ownership of it.
- You grant us permission to store and process that data solely to operate the Service (that's what makes the software work).
- You can export your work (printing, PDFs, CSVs) at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account and its data — see the Privacy Policy.
- You are responsible for having the right to enter the data you enter — for example, your clients' contact information.
5. AI-assisted features
Some features (like photo import of paper BEOs or inventory counts) use artificial intelligence to extract information you upload. AI output is a proposal — the Service always asks you to review and confirm before anything is saved, and you are responsible for verifying accuracy before relying on it. Details on how uploads are processed are in the Privacy Policy.
6. Acceptable use
Don't use the Service to:
- break the law or infringe anyone's rights;
- probe, overload, or interfere with the Service's security or other customers' data;
- resell or white-label the Service without a written agreement;
- upload malicious code or content you don't have the right to use.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with notice where practical.
7. Availability and support
We work hard to keep the Service fast and available, but it is provided "as is" without a guaranteed uptime level. We may update, add, or retire features over time. Support is provided by email at support@venuewright.com.
8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law: the Service is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied; we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages (including lost profits, lost revenue, or lost data); and our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Calculation features (billing math, staffing suggestions, pull lists) are aids — verify outputs that matter before acting on them.
9. Termination
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate the Service for material breach of these terms. If we ever discontinue the Service entirely, we will give at least 60 days' notice and a way to export your data.
10. Changes to these terms
If we make material changes, we'll notify you by email or in the app at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California.
